Jake & Streeter from CollegeHumor sat down to answer some questions for us on the show, being on MTV, NYC, upcoming projects & music.

CD Ind.: So what was it like hearing that you were going to have a television show on MTV?

Jake: I remember I was in my driveway at home in CT when Ricky called me and told me the news. My whole family was inside and I just remember feeling so excited to walk in my house and tell everyone. I don't think when I found out I was able to comprehend how much time and effort would go into the show on all of our parts, but I did know that it was going to be awesome to tell my parents.

Streeter: It’s a surreal feeling. I grew up watching MTV and always thought VJs had the coolest jobs. I guess I can’t be a VJ anymore, but this is a fine substitute.


CD Ind.: How do you come up with new characters for your Hardly Working series? What is the process like?

Jake: There's not much of a process. We're all constantly joking around and doing bits, sometimes something sticks and we realize we should make a video around it. Streeter and Amir did the overgrown guy girlfriend character for like a month before we filmed anything.

Streeter: They normally come out of just messing around at work or on set. The Overgrown Guy Girlfriend character though came mostly from things my exes have said to me over the years.
